We’re proud to share that the Black Dragon School recently took part in a powerful and heartfelt community event Benjamin Zephaniah Day held at Brunel University, Uxbridge to honour the life, legacy, and spirit of the late poet, activist, and martial artist who meant so much to so many of us.

Shifu Clive Spring, alongside senior students Tess, Ruby, and Ned, represented our school with strength and grace, leading a Tai Chi performance and taster session that drew in a vibrant and diverse crowd. On June 11th 2023 our little dragons visited Bethnal Green, London to take part in the taijiquan competition. All three of our competitors came away with a medal taking part in both hand and weapons forms. Winning gold, silver and bronze respectively.

Good evening Black Dragon family. As you may or not know our beloved grandmaster Kongjie Gou has sadly passed away. Many of you have trained with him, many of you called him friend. It is a truly sad time for everybody.

Please try to take a moment to remember grandmaster. Think of a happy memory that made you smile or a time when he helped you most. As long as we remember his teachings and carry on the Chen legacy grandmaster’s memory and teachings will always live on in us.

On Saturday 26th September members of the Black Dragon Family were lucky enough to be invited to compete in the Team Shaolin Championships 2015 at the Tang Long Chinese Cultural Centre in London.

On arrival at Tang Long we immediately felt at home and welcomed as the cultural centre has the same feeling as our very own school. On Saturday 11^th October the Black Dragon Competitors ventured out on an early morning trip up to The London Soccerdome to take part in the competition as part of the 3^rd Cultural Shaolin Festival.

Taking part in the prestigious competition were: Ruby Pierce, Ashleigh Wykes, Harry Adaway and Liam Fitz-Patrick; all of whom were most excited to see the world famous Abbot Shi Yongxin and perform in front of the renowned Shaolin monks.
